Anirban Mal did his masters in Geoinformetics and worked with various IT companies and government departments, before he gradually shifted to photography. He started doing photography 6 years back with a broken heart and a mobile camera, slowly realizing that it is spreading inside him. He kept exploring and got inspired by various photographers; some are famous and some are not and finally landed in doing a serious workshop under the mentorship of Joydeep Mukherjee.
Anirban loves to explore crowds and human behaviour. Travelling and painting are the other hobbies that keep him engaged when he is not photographing. For him “Photography” is just a technical term. Actually it’s a relationship between one's eyes, brain and heart. One should take photography as their passion only when it comes from the heart and makes one happy. This world is changing by the day. Climate, environment and people are also changing. But photography is a lifetime journey and it will follow our mind in every steps of our life. He believes one should shoot whatever they like. He believes in seeing things around because Ansel Adams says, “You don't take a photograph, you make it”.
Anirban Mal supports the marketing plans of FOTOJAJS and is also one of the strategy planners.
