The young and dynamic photographer from Delhi Mohit Tejpal Mohit Tejpal is a well known name in photography. Here is a small acccount of our chitchat with him for your knowing about this promising photographer and his work.

Tell us about you… I am a Delhi based commercial photographer and a photography enthusiast. I am Diploma holder in Professional Photography and I am practicing photography for last four years. My Photography journey began as a hobby in 2013. Street, Landscape and architectural photography are primary areas of my interest.

When did you start photography…

I Started Photography In 2013.

Yours gears - then and now…

I Started with a cropped sensor camera which was Canon 600D with Lenses 18-55mm F/3.5 to F/5.6 EFS Zoom Lens and 55-250mm F/4 EFS. Presently I am using a full frame camera which is Canon EOS 6D with lenses 24-105mm F/4 L IS USM, 16-35mm F/4 L IS USM,50mm F/1.8 EF.

What do you love to photograph…

I practice street Photography.

Why do you love this genre that you practice…

Street Photography to me is capturing truth, real life, moment and scene; describing a story through photos. I love to do street photography because it's difficult to capture photographs in street without your subject noticing that you are capturing them which is a really interesting job. Street Photography develops a photographer’s eye and observation skills which is a great thing.

Your most loved photo and why do you love it…

There is no specific photo of mine which I love the most. Instead of loving my photos I always watch them again and again to know my mistakes or to think that what would have been the other perspective of the photo.

Your journey so far…

My journey so far has been really good.I have learned many things from senior photographers and I keep on learning new things as Photography is a vast subject.

Difference in ‘photography then’ and ‘photography now’…

There is a huge difference in Photography from my starting days to now. I have learned many things, many rules of Photography, role of light and many other things which helped me to improve my Photography.

Your future plans…

As I am also doing commercial Photography presently, after some time I want to join some good Photography institute as a Mentor.

Your suggestions for the budding photographers…

My suggestion to budding photographers is that they should try to learn more and more instead of just wasting their shutter. Don't go on the Number of Likes, Wows etc on photos that you receive on Social Networking sites; "those are just for self satisfaction" nothing else. Instead of that start reading books related to Photography, read bios of legendary photographers, practice in the field, try to work under a senior photographer which will help you to become Professional.
